Forgings
We manufacture open-die and die-forged components from carbon, alloy, and micro-alloy steels, as well as stainless steel, aluminum, and copper alloys.
We are capable of manufacturing and supplying single-piece and small-batch forgings, as well as large-volume forgings weighing from 0.3 kg to 1,000 kg.
Open-die forging
Open-die forging is more flexible and cost-effective for producing large, simple, or custom parts, but it is less precise and slower, which limits its use to single-piece production or small batches.
Advantages
- Flexibility and versatility: It is easy to create a wide range of shapes, especially larger and simpler ones.
- Low cost: It is more cost-effective, especially for smaller production runs or prototypes.
- Suitable for large parts: It allows for the production of larger parts that would not be possible within the limited space of a die.
Die-forging
Die-forging, on the other hand, is ideal for mass production due to its high precision, efficiency, and good material compaction; however, it requires a higher initial investment, is limited by the size and weight of the parts, and has limited capabilities for very complex shapes.
Advantages
- High precision and quality: Forgings have precise shapes and dimensions, with minimal machining allowances.
- High degree of work hardening: Improves the material’s mechanical properties, such as strength and durability.
High productivity: Suitable for mass and serial production.
Disadvantages
- High initial costs: The initial investment in dies and machinery is significant.
- Size and weight limitations: Options are limited by the force of the forming machine and the dimensions of the die.
